    St John's Wood High Street

The St John’s Wood High Street scheme aims to enhance the civic space on the High Street by improving the streetscape and emphasising its importance as a local centre for shopping and dining.
Introduction

High Street Renewal

The St John's Wood High Street scheme has improved the public space and accessibility along the high street. The scheme took a pedestrian-centric approach, with a one-way street southbound for vehicles, allowing the widening of pavements on either side.
There are new pedestrian crossing points, trees, benches, and traffic calming measures.
A detailed drawing of the scheme layout can be downloaded here.
Works on the High Street started in April 2023, and were completed in January 2024.
